Chivay
We had booked a bus trip from Puno to Chivay. This was beautiful. Great sceneries and animals. We saw Alpaca (like Lama but sheep like), Llama and Vicuñas (like Lama but deer like). We also saw flamingos.
The region has various volcanoes of which some have a height of 6.000 m. A volcano with a typical conic shape is El Misti. You can also see it in the background on some pictures of Arequipa.
I was feeling a little better because of the medicines we had bought at 05:00 in a 24h pharmacy.
Our destination was Chivay, a nice little village in the beautiful Colva Valley.
Chivay is a little village with thermal baths on 4km walking distance. It was so cold that we did not feel like bathing.
